Our goal is to have our
students feel as comfortable in the water as they
do on land. Our instructors provide a warm, loving
and encouraging environment where special and trusting
relationships are developed with each student. We
promote learning by offering both fun and challenging
lessons. By working towards daily goals, we strive
to make progress during each lesson.
Infant/Toddler: Ages 6 mo. to 36 mo.
Parent
and Baby Classes: 3-4 Babies with their parent per
class
These classes are
an amazing opportunity for parent and baby to deepen
their bond as they discover the water environment
together. Parents will learn how to hold their babies
safely in the water while helping their babies practice
basic swimming skills in a fun and playful atmosphere.
Babies will gradually work towards underwater submersions
and practice rolling-over from their tummies into
a survival float.
Private Lessons:
Ages 2 to Adult
Custom lessons are
designed to best meet the individual needs of the
student, allowing students to progress at their
own unique pace to maximize learning. Private lessons
are offered to beginners as well as advanced students
and run 20 minutes per lesson. Why
20 minutes?
Learn-to-Swim Classes
Our learn-to-swim
classes are for beginners and are designed to develop
safe swimmers. We thoroughly invest in the foundation
of swimming, which is breath control, buoyancy and
balance in the water. We practice these skills in
various ways to develop water comfort and confidence.
Once these foundational skills are established,
students work to master all the elements involved
with safe and successful swimming, which includes
kicking, pulling, proper breathing and returning
to the wall for safety.
Stroke Development Classes
We have stroke development
classes for our advanced students. We focus on correct
stroke technique and the impact each body movement
has on our position in the water. We break apart
each stroke by refining one skill at a time in order
to build a proficient and complete stroke. We teach
all four competitive swim strokes.
